It seems impossible to avoid Brexit, people being knocked down or terrorised and killed, or Harvey Weinstein knock-offs. Or Meghan Markle.
We’ve been through Brexit several times but why not again? For me, nothing has changed. Britain shouldn’t leave the EU. Sure, it probably should never have joined but now it/the economy/the justice system/ the politics are entwined with the other 27 members of the EU.
And any one of those members can present objections to any proposals which might provisionally be agreed by the Brexit negotiators.
The convoluted basis of support for Brexit in the referendum underlines why the process was flawed. The result is open to question. The result should be re-examined.
The British economy may appear to be robust. To rely on this state would seem to be short-sighted. For goodness sake, let’s get some new glasses which are not at all rose- coloured!”
